这门课程强调病人的准备, 医疗/牙科历史, 生命体征, 口服诊断, 牙科图表和准确的病人治疗记录.   牙科护理管理, 牙科诊所可能发生的医疗紧急情况在本课程中得以实现.  包括心肺复苏术(CPR)认证和注册培训.  Subject matter to include; patient management and the medically compromised patient.  治疗学的研究包括药物的历史, 给药方法, 药物的影响, 并常用药物治疗口腔病变, 焦虑, 疼痛管理. Principles of pharmacology to include; overview and dispensing of drugs, 牙科常用药物及不良药物作用.
